State Convention

• Thank you for registering and ordering your meals on-line this year! This process allowed immediate receipt and confirmation of attendee information and meal orders.  As a result, the State Officers and Host Council are better prepared to welcome everyone to Pierre this year.

122nd State Convention: April 24-26, Pierre SD.

• Election of Delegates. 2026 Change!! Grand Knights will register council delegates by completing the 2026 Convention Registration and Meal order form. Please invite and register any clergy intending to concelebrate mass and attend the Clergy Recognition Banquet Friday April 24, 2026. Guidance document

• HOTEL Info: Pierre Ramkota Hotel. Book your reservation directly at 605-224-6877
  • The “Knights of Columbus” Block of reserved rooms and special rates expired March 23rd, and will be released to the general public.
  • If attendees experience any delays in arrival, please call the hotel and State Warden Andrew Wolter, 515-313-6891 to see how we may be able to assist. 
• Supreme Convention Delegate Nomination Form. The 2026 Supreme Convention will be in Denver CO.  
  • Self-Nomination is allowed. Attendance at the State Convention is not mandatory.  Please review this process if you are interested and self-nominate, and let your Grand Knight/Delegates assist your nomination at the convention. 
  • Memo & Nomination Form are now available for the 2026 Supreme Convention, 3-6 August 2026.

  • The 3 standing committees will be conducting “virtual” committee meetings tentatively the weekend  before the convention, Sunday April 19^th or Monday April 20^th

• 2026 Proposed Resolutions.  Provided early this year as a read-ahead for the convention.  20260302
• Proposed Update of South Dakota’s By-Laws.  In December 2025, the State Officers were reviewing historical files and discovered the last published By-Laws on record was 2003. The proposed updates reflect numerous items that have come into being over the past 23 years; such as Social media, electronic financial processes and electronic publications, to name a few.  The document reflects red-line changes and the State Officers rationale for getting the By-Laws current to todays standards.  new 20260313
